an immersive, site-specific performance inspired by Seward Johnson’s sculpture The Awakening, the many histories of Hopewell Valley, and the land of St. Michael’s Farm Preserve. Weaving together dance, music, storytelling, poetry, and community artmaking, this gathering considers memory, imagination, legacy, and nature. Opening dance score by Ann and production/curation in collaboration w donia salem harhoor.

NYC Dances: A dance film series
A dance-film series whereby director Ann Robideaux asks anyone and everyone to dance for the camera in NYC public spaces. Sponsored by the NYC Parks Commission, films were created and screened from 2007-2015. NYC Dances has been screened in Sternberg Park via Cinema Parque/MovieHouse, The Outlet Dance Festival and local galleries in NYC and NJ. Screenings are ideally free to the public and are updated annually. A few of the dozen or so selections here.
